    • Zinc ore mining ceased 
  • 1907
    • Iserlohn with 27.000 inhabitants becomes self-administrarive but still remains seat of county administration.
  • 1909
    • Initial opening of Danz tower 
  • 1910
    • Opening of railway line Iserlohn - Dortmund
  • 1914/17
    • Reconstruction of Kilian's Church (Lenne Cathedral, Letmathe) 
  • 1934/35
    • Beginning of extension of Thiele works, which is to become the biggest chain producer within Europe.
    • Iserlohn becomes a garrison town.
    • Letmathe is granted town status.
  • 1938
    • Destruction of the synagogue
  • 1945
    • On 16 April Iserlohn capitulates to the Americans and therefore is saved from destruction.
