June 2017 will mark the fourth anniversary of the OBSERVE Collective, so we’re throwing another party! The Street Photography Festival "Observations 2017" will open on July 14, 2017 in the Städtische Galerie in Iserlohn, Germany, and will run through July 23, 2017.

In conjunction with the festival opening, OBSERVE is also hosting a juried street photography competition, open to any interested photographer. All shortlisted and awarded images will be exhibited as part of a public event on July 15, 2017 in Iserlohn, in a location that is "down by the river".

The competition will be awarded with a total of €1000 in prize money.

Winner: €500
Second place: €300
Third place: €200

The theme of the competition is "down by the river".

Many members of the OBSERVE Collective will meet in Iserlohn that weekend in July. Contest participants and friends are all invited to join us for the festivities.

Submissions will be accepted until SUNDAY MAY 28, 2017 at 22:00 GMT. The winners will be publicly announced on our website on July 16, 2015 and at the contest exhibition in Iserlo
